VLD Venice Long Distance

The new race part of Challenge Venice is denominate VLD “Venice Long Distance” and it will be on the same course of the Full Distance, starting just few minutes after the Full Distance on Sunday, June 3rd, 2018.

The VLD Venice Long Distance will be a race with the following distances:

  • 3.8 km swim
  • 133 km bike
  • 22 km run (two lap less in final marathon of th Full Distance in the Park)

The cut off for the single section and for the total event is the same of the Full Distance

This event is indicated for the athletes that do not feel ready yet for a Full Distance (or ironman distance) event, but that want to feel the unique experience to race in Venice, especially for the swim section. It is still a tough and hard race, but with around half distance in the run that will…preserve your legs!

This event, indeed, can be a perfect last test in  preparation for the Ironman and other races in the summer as Nice, Frankfurt, Roth, Klagenfurth.

The race will have a limited number of 150 individual athletes and 10 relays, and it will not be open to PRO but only to Age Group, that will be awarded in the top three for each category.
