Challenge Venice and Venezia Football Club
About a month away from the start, the second edition of Challenge Venice enhances another important collaboration. The full distance triathlon, which takes place in Venice on the next June 11, secured a partnership with Venezia FC, the football club trained by former player Filippo Inzaghi, who won the Coppa Italia Lega Pro and obtained the first place in Lega Pro, Italian third division, this year.
The partnership has the specific aim to create a shared strategy in communication and marketing in order to cooperate for different projects. As part of the partnership with Challenge Venice, Venezia FC will present a free season ticket package for the 2017/18 season to the Venice resident with the best finish in the race.
“Venezia FC and Challenge Venice are natural partners,” said Venezia FC’s CEO Ted Philipakos, “as we both take great pride in representing and celebrating the city of Venice and we both strongly believe in the power of sport to create positive impacts in people’s lives and enhance local and international community.”
Great enthusiasm among the organizers of the race which is going to host more than 600 athletes from 45 nations this year. “Football and triathlon are two popular and fascinating sports“ said Matteo Gerevini, Race Director of Challenge Venice “and cooperating with such a prestigious club, like Venezia FC, represents to our race and to us all a reason to be proud, and allows us to promote Venice from a different point of view, as a great sports city”.
